Day 1: Hanoi – Van Long – Kenh Ga & Hot spring – Overnight in Emeralda resort (-/L/-)
8:00 am, Pick up at your hotel in Hanoi, then transfer to Ninh Binh, upon arrival visit Van Long. Take the tiny bamboo boat to visit the “preserving nature area” for 2.5 hours. Have lunch at local restaurant. Check in hotel then relax, afternoon transfer to Kenh Ga, getting by boat to discovery floating village, can visit Kenh Ga hot spring – where local people still shower or a swim for treating skin cause in any season with nature hot water from the hot spring. Return to Emeralda resort. Free at leisure for relax fun in swimming pool or enjoy your time. Dinner by your own and overnight at Emeralda resort.
Day 2: Emeralda resort – Hoa lu temples – Tam Coc – Hanoi (B/L/-)
Have breakfast at resort, check out, then drive to Hoa Lu, upon arrival, visit the ancient capital of Vietnam and the famous old temples of the Dinh and the Le Dynasties. Getting drive along back road for taking picturesque, this is quiet roads through ancient villages, rice fields, rivers and rocky outcrops to Tam Coc (12km). Have lunch at local restaurant for an hour, after lunch. Taking a journey (1 hour) in the heart of “Inland Halong Bay” by local sampan (small boat). Take in the beauty of the karsts formations as you pass along their base and row into three of beautiful water caves (carved through the limestone mountain). After 2 hours explored, taking car for return to Hanoi. Arrival Hanoi around 18:00, finish your wonderful trip to Ninh Binh.
Hoa Lu is the legendary ancient capital of Vietnam. The old capital was built more than 10 centuries ago under the reign of Dinh Dynasty and Le Dynasty. It was its capital for just 41 years (968-1009). The capital then was moved to Thang Long under the Ly Dynasty (1010). With the size of 3000ha, Hoa Lu is protected by a natural wall with surrounding Trang An limestone mountains and Hoang Long river. The combination between mountains and rivers make Hoa Lu surroundings very picturesque. Hoa Lu is famous for the number of palaces, pagodas, tombs and pavilions that were built by different dynasties. Bao Thien Tue Palace that was plated with gold and silver is very popular with its architecture. There were also two famous temples that were built in the 11th century to dedicate King Dinh Tien Hoang and his successor Le Dai Hanh.
Tam Coc is known to travelers as Vietnam`s Halong Bay without water. Halong Bay on the rice paddies (a striking resemblance to Guilin and Yangshuo in China). Tam Coc has huge rock formation jutting out of rice fields. Tam Coc means “three caves”.
Van Long is the largest waterlogged natural reserve in the Northern Delta of Vietnam. It is popular with simple splendid nature and a variety of flora and fauna that attracts thousands of tourists annually.
